I often wonder about Bill Gates. I wonder if he, himself, actually runs them to test them to see if they work. If he actually cares whether or not they work. I know he’s not completely greedy if he’s willing to give half his fortune to charity… so why not take the time to actually make sure that your products/software isn’t a complete JOKE!

My current computer is running windows 7 and Office 2010. I had to create an excel document. No biggie. I’ve done some work with Excel. Not much. And not to the extent of using all the mathematical formulas and all, but for what I needed to do I can get by. So I get the document done and “Save” and “Save as” One on computer one on External (since I like to kill laptops).

I go to open the file and guess what??? Windows can’t open this file. WTF. I mean really. When you save a file such as a jpg or .doc or whatever it defaults to the file extension that it needs to open, right? And one would think, being as I’m running the most current versions of Windows AND office this should be a non-issue. Alas. It won’t open. The only way it would open is if open excel and THEN open the file. I shouldn’t have to spend 45 fucking minutes trying to get a file saved so I can have it in case of an emergency. I should type it up. Hit save and BOOM. There it should be. I mean seriously? What. The. FUCK.

I remember being in high school and windows being the only operating system I’d known. It’s what we had at home. Win3.0 then 95. And what’s this when I get to school? I had to run on a Mac? HOLY CONFUSING COMPUTERS BATMAN. But I look back at it now. Smart move. One of the few smart moves @ my HS. Here I sit 16 years later thinking. CRIPES I wish I had a Mac. I wish I could AFFORD a mac.

Steve Jobs may have booboo’d with the iPhone4 but at least 12 year olds can’t write viruses for his OS. At least his OS runs without fail, without the giving the operator a heart attack and fits of violent rage. OMG.

Microsoft sucks.
